Leaving Cairns

Der Australische Jungle ist eigentlich sehr interessant, eigne Pflanzen und Tierwelt etc. Die Blutegel haetten mich fast ausgesaugt, Baumkangaroos waren vermutlich zu gut getarnt. Ebenso wie die Leguane. Naja lustig war der Jungletrack trotzdem. Bin mit einer lustigen Irin gemeinsam den unscheinbaren 600m Berg durch tiefsten Jungle hinaufgewandert. Einmal hatten wir uns arg verlaufen und waren dann gluecklich wieder eine Markierung gefunden zu haben. Leider sind, verglichen mit Asien z.B Thailand, die Strandresorts und Strandhostels etwas zu modern. Man wird die westliche Welt selbst im Jungle nicht los. Dieser Umstand macht mich des laengeren schon durstig auf Indonesien. Ich will wieder eine Huette mit einer mittelalterlichen Dusche, will die Kokusnuesse zu Boden fallen hoeren und will nicht alles verstehen was die Leute so reden. Morgen oder Uebermorgen gehts zu den Whitsundays.

Australian Jungle is because of its unique animal and plant ecosystem very interessting. Blood leches nearly sucked all my blood and the treekangaroos & leguans were good trained in camouflage, so we couldnt see any of them. We saw some Kasuars, big non flyable birds. I was hiking up this 600m mountain with an irish girl. She will be so kind to send me the photos of this day :) . After a short time getting lost during hiking down, we finally found back on the trail and entered after 4h30min paved road. And how lucky, at that time a bus came and picked us up. Finally back in our Jungle Hostel which compared to Thailand is much to modern. Even in the deep rainforst you cant get rid of western civilization. I am dreaming of a little hut, hearing coconuts falling into the sand and being glad to have a shower like in the middle age.
Tomorrow or day after we are heading towards Whitsundays.
