Tag 5: Aufstehen 8:00
Um 10:15 bricht der Geysire im Nationalpark aus und wir wollen um 8:00 aufstehen. Tatsaechlich stehen wir um 8:45 auf. Der Wecker ist ja kaputt und wir sind auf morgendliche Sonnenstaende angewiesen. Wie auch immer. Es sind 27km zum Park. Alles klappt gut um 9:50 stehen wir vor diesem Geysir der in 25min ausbrechen soll. Ich bin skeptisch - was wenn er heute nicht will. Das Geheimnis lueftet sich, als ein Parksheriff via Mikro eine kleine Geschichte erzaehlt. Essenz der Geschichte ist, Seife loest eine chemische Reaktion aus, die den Weg des unter Druck stehenden Wassers quasi freigibt. Sehr imposant. Nach 5min ist der Spuk vorbei und die Masse an Touristen waelzt sich zum Auto zurueck. Es steht ein Rundgang durch den 3,5km langen Park bevor. Ueberall blubbert es, ueberall stinkt es vornehmlich nach Omas Misthaufen in Reinform und hochkonzentriert. Gott spielt in diesem Nationalpark mit dem Chemiebaukasten und spart auch nicht mit den verschiedensten Farben. Ich lasse dir Bilder sprechen
Gegen 14:00 sind wir fertig und fahren zurueck zum Camp, wo es wieder Pools gibt die aus den heissen Quellen gespeist werden. Der restliche Tag bringt nicht viel, ausser das ich von der Eiskalt noch doch ein wenig laediert und mir Ruhe goenne. Wir am Vortag eine Falsche Whiskey gekauft, die haelfte davon war unser Hautpabendprogramm. Aufstehen 4:00
Tag 6:
Wir wollen um 10 Uhr beim Mount Taranaki sein. Unbedingt googln. Ein in der Ebene alleinig thronender Vulkan. Leider war heute Regentag und alles Wolkenverhangen, deswegen sind wir weiter gefahren und sind gegen 16:00 in Wellington eingetrudelt.

Day 5:

At exactly 10:15 the Geysire called "Lady Knox" will erupt. So we planned to get up at 8.00am. At 8:45 we finally got up -no alarm clock, so I am always measuring how bright the sun is and trying to read the time out of that-. In the end at 9:50 we were standing infront of this geysire which in 25 min should spit out masses of water. I dont believe that - maybe he is lazy today or whatever. Then a park ranger is solving the riddle because he is explaining that soap is starting a chemical process which opens the way for the water which is under pressure. Dont ask me how this is working in detail. The fountain was amazing and awesome to square. After 5 min the show was over and the masses of tourists are moving back to their vehicles. A 3,5km long park tour, through purest vulcanic and hydrothermal area is ready to be taken. Everywhere the smell of grannys cow waste. Surly much more concentrated. I am thinkin "god is playing with the chemical set here and also uses pastel colours to have the real fun". I will let the pictures speak.

At about 14:00 we are leaving the park and heading back to our campsite, where we will relax the rest of the day. Watching the big storm with lightnings and then as a main programm for the evening we are entering the world of the New Zealand Whiskey. Get up at 4:00

Day 6:

We are looking forward to be at about 10 oclock at Mount Taranaki. A lonely vulcano in the middle of the flat land. Snow coverd - please google; but there are big rainclouds and no way to see this amazing mountain today, so we decided to drive on heading towards Wellington. We arrive at the capital of New Zealand at about 16:00.
