Titicaca

In Bolivien angekommen, sind wir gleich auf die "Isla del Sol" gefahren. Die Faehre, langsamer kann ein Boot nicht mehr fahren, ueberladener kann ein Boot nicht sein, ist eine Touristenkutsche sondergleichen. Auf der Insel angekommen steigt man den Inkapfad bergauf, mit Rucksack und allem drum und dran. Das ganze auf ca. 4000m. Die Luft ist duenn und wir haben den Rest des Tages nur geschlafen. Am naechsten Tag habe ich mir Ruinen angeschaut und die einmalige Atmosphaere genossen. Der gesamte Titicacasee ist sehr sauber und es herrschte eine angenehme Ruhe mit schneebedeckten 6000er im Hintergrund. Da weder an der Kuestenstadt noch auf der Insel ein Bankomat vorhanden war, sind wir aus Budgetgruenden heute Mittwoch aufgebrochen nach LaPaz.

We arrived Bolivia at midday and decided to take the ferry to "Isla del Sol". There is no ferry which is slower or fuller. Little adventure. The island has plenty relicts from the Inka destiny. When u arrive at the island you have to climb up the inka trail to the little village. With the backpack and all the things, not to forget that the altitude is about 4000m. The air is thin and we slept the first afternoon and went for a meal in the evening. The whole lake has a bright blue and seems very clear - in the background 6000m snow covered mountains. An amazing surrounding with an chilled silence. The reason we left was, that we had not enough money because there was no bancomat on the island neiter on the coastcity. So left the island today heading towards La Paz.
